Happy Friday everyone! We’re starting to wrap up our fall season but still have a few fantastic weddings to share with you. Next up, Sara & Michael’s, is a charming local wedding Bill documented himself. The day really could not have gone any more smoothly and was a blast for everyone. You’ll see what we mean below.

The Fab team:
Venue: Prince Michel Vineyards
Event coordination: Barb Wired
Catering: Simply Delicious
DJ: Sound Enforcement
Flowers: University Florist

All their groomsmen were real characters. Certainly kept the evening lively just in case there might have been a dull moment.

Table names were grape varietals. How apropos.

Even if not on paper, the kids present all played a role–being incredibly cute.

The DJ had them play a little Q&A for their guests, answering questions with their shoes.

Mike sang to his bride, not once…

…but twice, the second time with his groomsmen, singing, “You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feeling”. We’re all pretty sure here at Holland Photo Arts World Headquarters that he was kidding.

Dear s&m,

It was so cool when we first talked, learning of our mutual navy connection with you both. So it was likely connecting with old friends on your wedding day, watching your family members surround you with such love and having a blast in the process. Nothing was taken too seriously, and your groomsmen offered comic relief throughout the day, just in case I might have wanted for something to document–it was so much fun. And while it may have been uncharacteristically warm that October day, you were up for anything for your portraits, including standing in place among the vineyard’s sculptures despite just learning we had traipsed over a yellowjacket’s nest. Now that’s dedication to the cause. You displayed an incredible sense of humor for everything happening that night and I couldn’t have had a better time. Congratulations to the two of you, and thank you for having me out to celebrate with you!

Great photos. I love the interplay between shadows and light. I always enjoy a good infra-red shot on a sunny day too!
