Best of 2013 – Bill’s Faves of Anne’s

Best of 2013 – Bill’s Faves of Anne’s

Today we wrap up our favorite images (we somewhat randomly selected 25 each) among the nearly 15,000 we delivered to our wonderful clients in 2013. These are images Bill loves that Anne captured, vs. Anne’s faves Bill captured. We hope you enjoy them, reminiscing about each of the weddings (click on the link for each couple to see more). Have a great weekend everyone and we’ll soon be sharing a sweet and fun wedding right here in Colorado at Devil’s Thumb Ranch.

Best of 2013 – Anne’s Faves of Bill’s

Best of 2013 – Anne’s Faves of Bill’s

Before things really get cranking in 2014, let’s take a quick look back at some of our favorite moments and images from our 2013 weddings! It was so insanely difficult narrowing down our selections to just 25 (seemed like a reasonable number taken from the 14,983 photos we delivered last year to happy clients). Today we’re looking at some of Anne’s favorite images that Bill captured from the past year. Thanks so much for all our incredible, loving, and happy couples for sharing these moments so we could capture them!

Susan & Rob’s Elopement at Charlottesville’s Clifton Inn

Susan & Rob’s Elopement at Charlottesville’s Clifton Inn

It’s sometimes nice to simply cut to the chase, expressing the love you have for another, making a formal commitment to the other in the presence of just one witness. What a beautiful and intimate way to begin your married life together. Such are elopements, and Bill was lucky enough to photograph Susan and Rob’s recently on a very warm Summer day at the picturesque Clifton Inn. They enjoyed a brief ceremony and we set off to do a few portraits around the grounds before they returned inside for drinks and to cool down in preparation for a delicious four-course meal at the Inn. Congratulations, you two! You can view the complete gallery here, and the password is Susan’s last name. Meanwhile, here are a few faves from the afternoon. Enjoy!

Saying their I Do’s…

Enjoying their first few moments as husband and wife in the sweet, sweet air conditioning.

Congratulations, you two! I’m so happy to have met and spent the afternoon with you.

Summer & James’s Elopement Wedding at the Homestead

Summer & James’s Elopement Wedding at the Homestead

While most our clients have guest lists that number in the dozens to many hundreds, once in a while we’ll get a couple who just want to keep it simple. Summer and James called us up about a week before their elopement ceremony down at The Homestead resort. Bill sprang into action and met the couple and their two adorable children in the picturesque Grand Ballroom Atrium for their brief ceremony. Some highlights below…

Ready for more? You can view their complete wedding gallery here. The password is Summer’s last name and is case-sensitive.

Their little  boy was all about the cake as it was being presented. I don’t think his lips were more than just a few inches from it at all times, ostensibly protecting it for his parents.

Yum!

A toast, and a finger-full of icing.

As we were wrapping up their portraits, we walked past the Homestead’s arcade. They were, of course, totally up for some old-style off-roading via video game.

Congratulations, you two! It was such a pleasure spending the afternoon with you both.

xoxo…
