What We Love

We believe authenticity is more impactful than a façade.
We believe relationships and experiences create more smiles than things.
We believe photography’s better on shelves, desks, and walls more than on iPhones.
We believe it’s sometimes preferable to start with dessert.
We believe in blowing your nest egg on art that makes you feel something.
We believe the wedding is one hell of a party. And yet the marriage is ultimately where it’s at.

We believe photography should reflect your personality more than your photographer’s personality.
We believesharing a drink at the end of the day is therapeutic.
We believe love is more powerful than apathy. Not to mention more fun.
We believe everyone should experience New Orleans at least once.
We believe beauty is found in the big and the small, in the visual and the subtle, and especially in one another’s eyes.

A Loves

Road biking. I love the wind in my face and feeling like I’m flying. The bugs in my teeth, not so much.

heart

Jigsaw puzzles (embracing my inner 90 year-old). Must have an interesting story though…a beach scene would bore. me. to. tears.

heart

Trying new cocktails (current fave: Industry Sour).

heart

My Calvin & Hobbs anthology collection, one of the best gifts Bill’s given me.

heart

My Essie nail polish collection, er…crush. Current fave: the most perfect petal pink, Essie’s Minimalistic.

heart

Getting hooked on Scandal (I’ll bring the popcorn if you show up with Olivia’s fave red).

heart

Farmhouses and Porch Swings – Northerner by birth, Southerner by heart – nothing beats the simplicity of just swinging and sipping on a lemonade on a hot day

B Loves

Mountain biking. Drawing a little blood just means it was a good ride.

heart

Greeting the morning sun with solitary hike around Boulder’s Flatirons. Ironic, since I’m supposedly the outgoing one in the relationship.

heart

Hanging out a new brewery with friends. There’s a fresh crop of ’em in Colorado every few days.

heart

A quiet morning reading (usually on my iPad Mini), drinking locally-roasted coffee made with an AeroPress (don’t leave home without it).

heart

Pretty much anything Anne bakes.

heart

Driving along Colorado’s mountain roads as the sun’s setting, music cranked on the radio. There are few things as beautiful as a countryside with striking evening light spread across it.

A&B Love

Colorado craft beer and Virginia wine, although not necessarily at the same time.

heart

Netflix movie night. Or Netflix binge watching…just finished The Wire. What should we hit next?

heart

Traveling, whether by plane, train, or automobile. No adventure is too big or too small. Our bags can be packed in 9 minutes, unless Callie jumps in the middle of the suitcase to stow away, as is her want.

heart

Sharing beignets at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. One can never have too much powered sugar and chicory coffee. We even had it on our wedding day (Bill braved the powdered sugar in his dark suit. He lost.)

heart

Cooking together (Bill chops, Anne gets it hot). It often tastes better if we got the ingredients from the morning’s farmer’s market in Boulder.

heart

Austin, Texas – Grab some Salt Lick BBQ, a cold bottle of Shiner and hit the Broken Spoke for some live rockabilly. You won’t be disappointed.

heart

Mountain living, although it just barely beat out ocean living. Perhaps one day we’ll be splitting our time between them.

heart

Intimate dinners, tasty cocktails, and most of all–satisfying conversation with close friends.

The Cat

And then there’s this. Her “highness” is named Callie.

She’s a redhead in every sense of the word. Yet all is forgiven when she curls up in Anne’s lap.
