What We Love
We believe authenticity is more impactful than a façade.
We believe relationships and experiences create more smiles than things.
We believe photography’s better on shelves, desks, and walls more than on iPhones.
We believe it’s sometimes preferable to start with dessert.
We believe in blowing your nest egg on art that makes you feel something.
We believe the wedding is one hell of a party. And yet the marriage is ultimately where it’s at.
We believe photography should reflect your personality more than your photographer’s personality.
We believesharing a drink at the end of the day is therapeutic.
We believe love is more powerful than apathy. Not to mention more fun.
We believe everyone should experience New Orleans at least once.
We believe beauty is found in the big and the small, in the visual and the subtle, and especially in one another’s eyes.
Road biking. I love the wind in my face and feeling like I’m flying. The bugs in my teeth, not so much.
Jigsaw puzzles (embracing my inner 90 year-old). Must have an interesting story though…a beach scene would bore. me. to. tears.
Trying new cocktails (current fave: Industry Sour).
My Calvin & Hobbs anthology collection, one of the best gifts Bill’s given me.
My Essie nail polish collection, er…crush. Current fave: the most perfect petal pink, Essie’s Minimalistic.
Getting hooked on Scandal (I’ll bring the popcorn if you show up with Olivia’s fave red).
Farmhouses and Porch Swings – Northerner by birth, Southerner by heart – nothing beats the simplicity of just swinging and sipping on a lemonade on a hot day
Mountain biking. Drawing a little blood just means it was a good ride.
Greeting the morning sun with solitary hike around Boulder’s Flatirons. Ironic, since I’m supposedly the outgoing one in the relationship.
Hanging out a new brewery with friends. There’s a fresh crop of ’em in Colorado every few days.
A quiet morning reading (usually on my iPad Mini), drinking locally-roasted coffee made with an AeroPress (don’t leave home without it).
Pretty much anything Anne bakes.
Driving along Colorado’s mountain roads as the sun’s setting, music cranked on the radio. There are few things as beautiful as a countryside with striking evening light spread across it.
Photos on this page by our wonderful wedding photographer Johnny Chauvin.
And then there’s this. Her “highness” is named Callie.
She’s a redhead in every sense of the word. Yet all is forgiven when she curls up in Anne’s lap.
