Birthed one year after I was born (!!), Top Notch Burger in Austin, Texas is a true institution. Most famous for its starring roll in Dazed and Confused, it’s embraced its, now very retro, 70’s design. It even has retained their car hop service resisting the “pave over the parking lot” ethos that so many commercial entities embrace today. Their burger recipe also hasn’t changed and they’remade to order, so you know we had to pay them a little visit when we were in Austin over the Winter.

Not only do they sometimes show Dazed and Confused in the parking lot every first Saturday, they have hot rod/classic car night.
So did it live up to the hype? It did and then some! After our meal, we hit the Photo Booth and included our strip among the hundreds of others decorating the old school booth all while trying to avoid saying “alright, alright, alright” for the hundredth time that night. Tried. And failed.
We shall return.
