Hello happy people! Well, hopefully you’re happy and hopefully you’re staying safe and warm. Especially if you are currently residing in and around the DC/MD/VA area, which has been feeling more like North Dakota in recent weeks. We took Mother Nature’s hint, closed the studio for our Winter break and took our wintered weary butts to warmer climes. Very far out of town, actually. About six hours behind and one day ahead, if that makes sense. After saving several of our pennies for the long two years since our last vacation to the sunny Southwest, and cashing in all our frequent flier miles, we decided to quietly and excitedly head Down Under! Our dear friends, Angela and Webster, whose beautiful August 2008 wedding you may remember, graciously invited us to visit them during their one-year stint in New Zealand, which as an added bonus is currently enjoying its summer season. Now, who could pass that up? Not us!
Below is a cool shot Anne got with her iPhone as we were wrapping up a brief layover in L.A. and just before hoping on our 747-400 for the loooonnnngggg ride out to Auckland. Keep an eye on this space as we’ll soon be posting some images from the trip as well as a few stories of our adventures. New Zealand is absolutely incredible and we can not wait to share them with you!
