Alex and Zach’s Downtown Wedding at Denver’s Performing Arts Complex
Well, now what a treat this one was. Not only was the wedding incredible, but we both got to guest shoot for our friend, Kent Meireis this time. You’ll want to check out his blog post on Alex and Zach’s wedding for even more great shots. The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the cool and unique The Studio Loft above the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
Alex’s gorgeous and refreshing corseted strapless bodice Rivini gown with a waterfall train fit her to a T. The cut-away dress allowed her stunning rose-gold strapped Emmy London heels, hand-beaded with Swarovski crystals and real mother of pearl shell, take center stage. (Theater pun intended!) So often guests only see brides’ shoes when they end up kicking them off during a full evening of dancing or in subsequent detail photos and these were definitely worth showcasing.
The loft with its high ceilings and exposed brick and stone sports an incredible industrial chic vibe that truly came live thanks in large part to Cammye McVay of We Tie The Knots and Design Works with dramatic draping and multiple crystal chandeliers. Alex and Zach said their I Do’s after dark in the loft after a touching private ketubah signing and Rockslide not only got the party started, they kept it going well into the night.
Thanks again to Kent, Alex and Zach for inviting us to be a part of such a beautiful celebration.
