Lindsey & Rob’s Mountain Wedding at Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Lindsey & Rob’s Mountain Wedding at Steamboat Springs, Colorado

The air at 9000 feet is always pretty crisp, and it wasn’t any different for Lindsey & Rob’s sunny Colorado wedding up at Steamboat Springs this fall. Their guests arrived at the mountain ceremony site via gondola and were treated to breathtaking views while the couple said their vows to one another. Not that anyone was looking at anything other than the happy couple, of course ;-). Talk about a breath of fresh air.

Our wish for every couple is that they have a wedding that feels like them where their friends and family can’t imagine them marrying any other way. Steamboat fit them to a tee, reflective of their adventures together (she hikes 14’ers in a day for fun, and their travels have taken them from Australia to Dubai. You might remember them from their relaxed Boulder County Fair and CU engagement session this Summer–we all had such a blast (plus some cotton candy). Check out a few of our favorite moments and images from their wedding, and of course their complete gallery. The password is Lindsey’s maiden name and is case-sensitive. Enjoy!

Dear l&r,

Some of our favorite moments from your wedding day are:
Your uncle’s quiet moments, Lindsey, stolen away from arriving guests as he prepared to officiate your ceremony. Lindsey, your dad’s emotions as he spoke during your ceremony, and the comfort your mom offered as he returned to his seat to witness the rest. In an only-in-Colorado-moment, a ready-made welcome committee of ultra-marathon race fans cheering you as you walked from the gondola to the start of your reception. Eschewing a more traditional (and some might say boring!) way to feed each other your first piece of cake, you instead tossed the pieces up in the air and each caught them in your mouths. Impressive! The peacefulness you had around your first dance. It was as if you were just lost in each other. Not sure what game it was, but the intensity with which your college friends kept their fingers intently on that beer was fun to watch.

Congratulations, you two and we look forward to sharing a beer sometime soon!

Before things really get cranking in 2014, let’s take a quick look back at some of our favorite moments and images from our 2013 weddings! It was so insanely difficult narrowing down our selections to just 25 (seemed like a reasonable number taken from the 14,983 photos we delivered last year to happy clients). Today we’re looking at some of Anne’s favorite images that Bill captured from the past year. Healy & Tim’s Wedding at a Private Virginia Estate

Healy & Tim’s Wedding at a Private Virginia Estate

Each of our clients’ weddings have a distinct feeling to them. It’s the bond that connects those loved ones–family and friends–with each couple. Healy & Tim had a distinct feeling to theirs as well and if we had to come up with select descriptive keywords, we might say relaxed, bright, and Maker’s Mark. Definitely can’t forget the Maker’s Mark. It’s safe to say everyone there had a great time, and we were thrilled to capture all the incredibly fun (and funny) moments throughout the day. Take a look at our favorites, and when you’re ready, peruse their complete gallery here. The password is Healy’s maiden name and is case-sensitive. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Dear h&t,

Some of our favorite moments from your wedding include…

The easy-going, nothing’s-going-to-bother-us attitude throughout the day. Your stylist’s t-shirt (and your grandma, too, natch)! When your ring-bearer approached one of your guests during the processional and presented her with the ring pillow, instead. The childhood excitement on the faces of your friends as they all watched the fireworks display. All the love-inspired signs placed throughout the tent, serving as thoughtful reminders for your friends’ own relationships. And finally, your guests really showing the playground spirit of sharing with that bottle of Maker’s.

Congratulations, you two!

Sooooo loving this way of doing the seating chart. The shabby chic, rustic window pane + the lovely elegance of Pretty Mail’s calligraphy = divine and unique detail! LOVE it, Pam!! 🙂

Bill’s totally digging this shot Anne got of their guests looking at the old window to find their tables.

We couldn’t have had a more picturesque evening.

Nikki & Josh’s Wedding at Hollin Hall, Part II–The Details

Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed reading Part I earlier today. As hard as it was to narrow down our favorite moments, it may have been even harder to narrow down all the beautiful, vintage details Nikki and Pam had collected throughout the years. Be careful – upon viewing all the delicious eye candy that follows, we’d hate for you to go into diabetic shock. 😉 Enjoy!

Even their beloved pooches made a virtual appearance on the bottle openers!

The Hokie birds above (and placed by their wedding cake) might be an obvious nod to their alum, Virginia Tech, but there was more subtle personalization. The original Roy Rogers lantern below belonged to Nikki’s dad when he was a boy.

Oh, and in case you missed it, be sure to check out the Friday’s FAB Finds featuring their gorgeous invitation and letter pressed paper products!

Thanks so much again, Nikki & Josh, for including us in your perfectly fabulous wedding! We wish we could do it all again next weekend! ;-D

Friday’s FAB Finds {029}

Whoo-boy you guys are in for a treat today if you love stationary and papers as much as I do. I’ve been so excited to share Nikki & Josh’s invitation suite ever since we received it in the mail. Each and everyone of their guests had to have been super psyched just seeing the gorgeous calligraphy on the invite, let alone what was inside. Well, heck, I’ll just show ya!

Invitations We Love – Nikki & Josh

Notice anything especially interesting about them by any chance???

They’re printed on WOOD! Pure GORGEOUSNESS!! (That’s their welcome bag for their hotel guests in the background, btw! Always such a thoughtful touch.)

Of course, we had to take a few pics of them in their proper wedding environment. (You’ll see this lovely vintage screen door more in their full blog post – can’t wait to share more of their wedding soon – it held the escort cards, which of course were also part of the whole suite.)

They were designed by the incomparable Saima Khan Saima Says Design and perfectly captured the mood of their sweet, fun and flirty vintage inspired wedding to come! (She also addressed the gorgeous envelopes!)

Can I just say how much I *heart* turquoise blue and orange together?! Well, I guess I can since it’s my post. ;-D

We seriously can’t wait to share soooo much more of this incredible wedding with you, but we hope you enjoy this FAB amuse bouche! (Yeah, I might have a tad bit of Top Chef fever again!)

Happy Friday!!
