We’ve written on past Tuesdays of our love for Olympic National Park as it truly is one of our faves (shhhh, don’t tell the other parks!). The Tree of Life and rainbow of rocks are a few among many on one of our most popular galleries. But what really attracts us is the surf.

There’s just something about the rocky coast, often gray skies with wispy clouds, that makes us want to a) if you’re Anne, run into it for a brisk invigorating plunge, b) if you’re Bill, photograph the hell out of it, or c) if you’re a&b, snuggle up under a cozy throw by a roaring fire and floor to ceiling windows showcasing the view. (Or ideally, d) all of the above.) So when it came to choosing images for the inaugural Summer edition of Love Notes Postcard Project, we knew this image of seagulls taking flight had to be among them.
