You know how sometimes when you’re driving or walking along, just minding your own business, you glance over and see something which knocks your socks off? I was driving along the Oregon coast a bit north of Depoe Bay one summer morning and rounded a corner to this sight.
Fog is a common summer phenomenon in Oregon as the warm air mixes with cooler water vapor evaporating off the Pacific’s waters. A coastal resident might describe this scene as commonplace. To me, it was magical. Magical can still be commonplace; we just unfortunately get used to the magic. But for me, there was no adapting to the awestruck this particular morning.
What’s magical in your world today that maybe you’ve grown used to, no longer seeing the amazing for what it truly is?
