I‘ve really grown to love the desert (mostly thanks to Anne). I have a newfound appreciation for the creativity and tenacity of its inhabitants. Both plant and animal, they make the absolute most of their lean (with the exception of sunshine!) resources. It’s really quite impressive how a tree can thrive when its neighborhood is overrun with giant boulders.

It makes us think that, when the going gets tough (and it does, more often than we’d like), that we get to choose to keep looking for a way forward, knowing it’s there if we just keep at it.

Life finds a way indeed.
